She's here! She's here, she's here, she's here, she's here!
Well, OK, she's mostly here.

Annie arrived this afternoon; her case, hard drive, processor, disk drives, motherboard... Only two pieces didn't get here: her video card and her power supply, each being rather necessary to get here running. (Well, not so much the video card, but that's half of why I got her!)

I'm trying right now to restrain myself from getting inside her and piecing what I have together, mostly because I have other things I should be doing. As that's not enough on an excuse for me, I'm telling myself that I don't want to risk hurting her vitals when I instal her power supply, so after opening the case and getting a feel for it, I'm leaving everything else in the packaging.

The rest should arrive tomorrow.

I'll have her put together on Friday.

I'll transfer what I must from UnicronPrime (via neurosurgical-like processes) over the weekend.

And before Monday, she should be up and running at full! I hope.

I should really go do my homework.

Point one: you can't be too much of a geek, you can only be too-little of anything else. And it can be proved (mathematically), that I am not 'too-little' of anything else.

Point two: what Annie and I have is not a romance; with rare exception does romance involve surgery. Nor is this a yearly thing; UnicronPrime is herself nearly four years old, and she had been Unicron long before that. In essence, she's the same computer I bought when I first got my job.

Point three: too late.
