Be still, though chaos rains around you now. Only so much rain can fall at once.
Breathe in, and let the air envelope you and, slow but sure, serenity will come.

Close your eyes. Try to breathe. Feel the ground beneath your feet. It's still there, the world still turns around.

Stand up, though circumstance has knocked you down. There is nothing gained by staying within it's reach.
Take strength in every failure you endure. Our mistakes have many lessons they can teach.

Close your eyes. Try to breathe. Feel the ground beneath your feet. It's still there, the world still turns around.

Destroy these walls you've built around yourself, you can't take another step until they're gone.
Move out. No use in dwelling in the past. Bid farewell to all your fears and carry on.

Close your eyes. Try to breathe. Feel the ground beneath your feet. It's still there, the world still turns around.
Close your eyes. Try to breathe. Feel the ground beneath your feet. It's still there, the world still turns around.
The world still turns around.

So, my little sister Becky likes my music. and, being me, I encourage this, usually by burning CDs. Now, the fact that her most requested song is "Almost Human" by Voltaire (lyrics below) kinda bugs me; it's alright for me, at 22, but she's only 8. It shouldn't resonate with her. Anyways, she's requested that I make her a new CD, but this time she has requests.

I gave up 'illicit' file sharing a couple years ago, mostly because the networks were generally sucking. This turns out to be a good thing, actually, in that my current and prospective employers frown upon such activities. So, I signed up to Napster, and it actually hasn't been that bad. A little fee, and some songs must be purchased rather than simply downloaded, but they let you listen to the song (or a clip of it in a few cases), and it's reasonably easy to search. So I'm liking it -- and as I said before, I've no problem paying $1 for a song if you let me get the songs I want.

But, now that I have legitimate means, I'm looking for suggestions from you all as to bands or songs I should check out. If it helps, a small list of bands I like would include Assemblage 23, VNV Nation, Cruxshadows, Queensryche, Savatage, The Decemberists, Porcupine Tree, Muse, and others along those lines. I like sad songs, but if any of you have happy songs (or happy-like songs) to suggest, I've quite a deficiency in those.

And, as a note, Lindsay Lohan kinda sucks as a singer. And she really sucks as a blond. (My sister made me get her songs for her CD.)

So I felt a little experimental today, since it's a day off, which means I can have breakfast (even if I did have it at noon).
For those of you keeping score at home, I didn't used to like breakfast very much, and certainly not eggs. I'm still not a big fan of breakfast, but I notice the difference when I don't eat it. And I'm starting to really like eggs. Like really.

So, today. Fry two eggs. Toast bread. Apply eggs to toast. Apply cheese to eggs. Add salt, pepper, and serve with tea.
Just, be sure to account for the yolks when you make the sandwich. They burst, and if you aren't prepared, it gets all over the counter and floor, and takes about seven minutes to cleen up (luckily my roomie was out, or I would have really felt like an idiot). It was very good.
