jackofallgeeks: (Contemplative)
The night flew by as their car swung around the bends in the road. There were trees and stars and nothing. It was beautiful. He was beautiful. She laid her head down on the side of his seat.

"If you're tired," he said, "You can put your seat back and sleep."
"I'm not tired." she said, sleepily.

If this was as close to him as she could be, she didn't want to be any further away.

Wow.
Words can not convey...

I just spent almost $140 on RPG Books.
Mage: The Ascention specifically. I feel so guilty.
DOorDICE.com rox the box, yo. Good prices. They're cheeper than buying from the source.
I suddenly want Werewolf, Wraith, and Hunter books.
If things go well, I may get a group to play with next Semester.
Perhapse even a game over the summer, since my brothers will be around.
I don't know how to be a Storyteller, though.

Curiously, would any of you out there ever be interested if I tried running a game here, online, through e-mail or something? I can see several of you wincing already, remembering our attempts at Rifts. I would say, 'This will be different,' but I can't promise that. I think it would be, though, and I'd only be interested in taking a small group, three or four members.

Tangentially (one day I'll have to see if that's a word -- it's difficult as all hell to actually say), if ANYONE out there is interested in SELLING used White Wolf books, I may be an interested party. Post a comment, send an IM, drop me and e-mail, I'm really not that hard to get in touch with. I'm most specifically looking for stuff from Mage and Wraith (with maybe a little Werewolf) right now, but anything put out by White Wolf would be of interest to me.

This post started out as a comment to a Post one of my Friends made. However, as I went through it, I kinda wanted to post it, as such, in my journal, just as it's a bit of random musings that I've been going over for a while. I hope, Beth, that you'll excuse the lack of a comment.

It's a funny thing, the future... I used to know what I wanted, really I did. I still do, in a way. But... Sometimes I look forward, through the haze, and it seems pointless, in a way. I mean, really, so I go out and I start programming software so I can pay rent and feed myself. There's only one thing I've ever really been able to find any meaning in, and that's people. Just, interacting with them, helping them, doing something that's more worthwhile then putting another bill in the mail. I could program a thousand computers, and it wouldn't give me as much satisfaction as even a single hour of true conversation with another person... ^_^;; So yeah, there's a little ditty 'bout the future.

"I've noticed I'm drifting away from anime."
I've felt the same way, actually, and for quite some time. Even before I met you, Beth, and the other ladies at Neko. The only reason I went to that or any Con since was for the people -- friends, old and new. in a way, it's kind of sad. It sounds 'mature,' with that sour tinge, the one that makes you wear a suit and drive the speed limit. That kind of maturity you see in Old People that makes you say, "I never want to be like that." But on the other hand, I think most of what you mentioned are positive things -- admiring an artist for his art, becoming unenthused about the more childish things, and understanding that Japan and all that comes with it is not the whole world. I've noticed that as I go through College, it seems more and more that Adults, like my parents and aunts and the like, are really Real People, like me and my friends. I wonder if that's because we really weren't that different to begin with, or because I've slowly become just like them.

Then I realize that I've stayed up past 5:30 in the morning and I'm not all that tired.
Ha ha! They haven't gotten me yet!

It's snowing. How odd.

I would like Gothic Rock, if they didn't ruin it. "As the Shadows Dance" by Theatre of Tragedy is a great example. The first 30 seconds of the song really intrigued me, but then the Male-type had to open his mouth. The girl singer was even really nice-sounding, but the Male-type was just... Low has a good sound, but not that low. my other complaint is that when the Male-types aren't trying to find the lowest note possible to groan out, they're all trying to sound like Dracula. Maybe that's the "thing" they're going for, but it does nothing for me.

Well, went to 9pm Mass, mostly because I was feeling lazy this morning and didn't want to go to 11am, then slept through the 4pm one. Anyways, I'm kinda glad I did, cause I say some friends I haven't seen in a while, including Jess who sat down next to me, and at the sign of peace we hugged instead of the all-too-customary handshake. I like Jess, she's a nice girl.

Tomorrow is Class Registration for us rising-Juniors. I can barely believe I'm about half-way out of this whole College Thing.  O.o  Anyways, that means that I need to be up before 7am t'morrow. I'm looking to be taking Probability, Software Development, Intro to Networking, Calc3, and Marriage & Annulments. That'll give me a class schedual like this:

Monday9:00-10:00, 12:00-1:00, 2:30-3:30
Tuesday1:30-3:00, 5:00-8:00
Wednesday9:00-10:00, 12:00-1:00, 2:30-3:30
Thurseday12:00-1:00, 1:30-3:00
Friday9:00-10:00, 12:00-1:00

So, yeah, that doesn't look all that bad. And for a total of 16 Credits. I'm just a little concerned about Calc3, which is also a 4-Credit course (where as all my others are 3-Credits, so it'll get the heaviest weight), but it shouldn't be too bad. After all, it's with Levin. He's cool. And Russian. w00+

It's occurred to me that, since I have no uniform starting time, I may have to get up at a given time (say, 8:00 or 8:30), not because I have to, but because it's morning. Crispix willing, I may even have Breakfast most days.
