I know why Mel's times always seemed a bit off to me. She's in California, like Gene. Duh. Her times ARE off. Unless I'm imagining all this. ^^

The mana acceloration capabilities of Green Magic is just sick. Conceivably, you drop a Forest and a Llanowar Elf on turn one - 2 Mana, 6 cards in hand. Turn two, you drop another Forest and two more Llanowar Elves - 5 Mana, 4 cards. Turn three, you drop another forest and use 4 mana to drop 4 more elves - all Fyndhorn, to keep the deck legal. 10 Mana, 0 cards in hand, all by turn four. If on turn four you draw a forest, great, 11 mana. If you draw just about anything smaller than...hell, with 10 possible mana, I can't THINK of anything you couldn't cast. Turn four, and you could have anything you WANT out in play. That's sick.

I got up a few times today. Sorta. I was awake at 8:00 something, and then again at 10:00 something, and finally got out of bed at 12:24. Showered, shaved, all that fun morning stuff. It was 1:00 when I finally left for my errands. Took the Metro down all the way around to Bethesda. I wish there were a shorter way, but... Got out there, and deposited my money. My account now has $461 in it. That makes me feel a little better about my cash-flow. I still miss the $1200 that I'd had in there before getting my Computer, but... Went around the corner to the barber's and got, I think, a nice haircut. ^^ The barber's first comment was 'you've got alot of hair'. it was humorous. Reminds me of when my mom would get all us boys in the kitchen and cut out hair. The floor was carpeted with out clippings. ^^ Then, after all that was taken care of, I crossed over to the Hospital and got Subway for lunch - at about 2:00, I guess. I skipped getting the hot peppers and jalapeños, and I regret that. Ate most of the foot-long sandwich, and put the rest and my chips in my bag t'take home. Finally got back here, the whole trip taking about 3 hours, I think, being that it's just about 4. Maybe it was more like 2½, but it's cloe enough. Got a Nestea on the way in, which I'll have later with my sandwich and chips, and maybe some soup. And pudding.

It's good being military. Even as just a Dependant, I enjoy it. I think it's prolly similar to belonging to any type of sub-culture. There's a sense of pride that goes along with it, a sense that you're able to access something that the general public isn't. In my corner of the world, these are the men and women who defend our country. ::Shrugs:: Maybe it's just me, but I know I'm going to miss it in a few years, when I become a full-fledged civilian. For now, it's nice.

Feel my fury.

Yes, well, it seems Claire won't be getting here until THREE IN THE FLIPPING AFTERNOON tomarrow. *Anger* Her grandmother is comming along, and they can't check into the hotel until 3:00, and they can't really do anything with her until then....so, Three it is.

That I could handle. Generally. Except that, last I was told, we could only be together until about 7:00. *seethe* FOUR hours? I want to break something.

It gets better. See, Claire's not allowed to use her car, either. So we have to use the metro. But wait! I have to meet them at the hotel, rather than Claire just comming here (considering she could at the very least be dropped off, wouldn't this make MORE sense?!). SO, I have to trudge to the metro, head deep into DC, and then walk around the White House to find their hotel. *smolder* I want to break someone.

I'm not in a pleasant mood.
