I just finished reading the seventh and final book of the Harry Potter series. A wonderful ending to a wonderful series. I was right about it, and so very wrong. it was everything I'd hoped and more. I've enjoyed this series more than any other that I've read in the last half dozen or so years at least, and I've enjoyed it far more than I ever thought I would.

Maybe some day I'll discuss what I think of the book (under an LJ-cut to be courteous), but for now suffice it to say that it rivals The Older of the Phoenix as my favorite book in the series.

Now, I sleep.

I have to say I think it's really funny that TOotP is your favorite book of the series. It was actually my least favorite...Harry was such an annoying, emo teenager! I haven't finished book 7 yet, but I'm working my way through it...with the busy schedule and all.

You know, I hear that a lot, that Book 5 was so-and-so's least favorite book, and usually the fact that Harry was a whiny brat comes into it. But... I don't know. Harry being a prick never bothered me because he was a fifteen year old boy -- and fifteen year old boys are pricks. I would have been less pleased with it if Harry wasn't all emotional through the book. And, beyond that, Book 5 is easily the most gray of the books (with Book 6 being nearly black and Book 7 being... some other shade. Almost back to black-and-white again, in ways), and I love that.
