Some people just shouldn't.

So, it's well known that I want kids. A number of my friends don't, some vehemently so. Some among them, and others I've met, cite the fact that they're afraid they'll botch things, or that they don't know how to handle kids, or other complaints that they fear they just wouldn't be a good parent. For the most part, I think they're all wrong; I think they'd generally all make fairly good parents, and that the fact that they acknowledge their short-comings and concerns is proof positive. It's funny then, in a morbid way, that the people I think should have valid concerns apparently don't.
