Mighty Make-Up Post Action!
GO!
When we last left our heroine...
So, yeah, it was 8:00pm Sunday night and I was driving down to Viginia Beach. I'm really not sure why, exactly - yeah, to see my friends, yeah, because it was break, yeah cause I really didn't have anything ELSE to do. But i had no where to stay, nothing planned - it was about as spur of the moment as I've ever gotten, really.
Like I said, I had no where to stay. I'd told Claire I'd sleep in my car if nothing else, and she told me not to, so I promised that I would ask to stay with the Crofts before I slept in my car. She was satisfied with that, but gave me a blanket anyways. I called Leslie, and she wasn't feeling that well, and it was family nbight. I felt a bit awkward at interrupting that, but it was done before I knew, so... I called up Jenny, and she'd just gotten the e-mail I sent a month earlier. I was allowed one night at her place (due to her Mother-in-law) but that night was too short notice. When I said I didn't REALLY have anywhere to stay, she said if all else failed I could stay there, Mother-in-law or no. Jen's a cool sister.
Then I called up Nancy, and when she heard that I had no where t'stay, she said that I could crash in her dorm - as long as I didn't leave the room between midnight and 10am. That was cool, and I made plans t'go over there, but wanted t'see if 'a friend' was in, that I could say 'hi'. That friend was Emily Crofts, but no one was home at their house, so I just headed over to Nancy's.
There, she and her older sister were watching X-files, and later we ordered a Pizza and her sister's friend came over. We ate, drank, laughed, it was great. At midnight, Nancy's sister and her friend left, and me and Nancy took some time t'catch up and talk. When I say 'some time' I mean the next six hours. She said she'd been afraid that I'd have changed alot, but talking to me there, I was the same as I ever was. ::Shrugs:: I don't think I've changed much, but I'm sure I'm a bit different, as is anyone.
At 6:00am we went to bed, though sadly for me, I'd had three too many sodas, and was very uncomfortable. At 7:00, I woke Nancy up and we made a covert op to the Men's Room. It was quite a relief.
March Fourth - Enter Dramatic Title Here
We got up sometime - Nancy earlier than me because she had class. Some point soon after I woke up Pat stopped by. Now then, Pat is one of Nancy's good college friends who I knew from 6th through 9th grade. Though he's about twice what his height was then, he still acts like the punk he wishes he was. ^__^ No, Pat hasn't changed all that much in 4 years, either.
Me and Nancy got together with Leslie, then, over at her house. Me and Sean played Smash Brothers while the girls discussed something, and then the three of us headed out - me and Nancy were aching for some Chik-fil-a, so we stopped there and had a bite. Then off to the bank to deposit my money, and then to Comic Kings to buy $75 worth of Magic Cards. I later grabbed a Premade deck, Grave Danger, but I should have gotten Living Nightmares - it has Chainer, a very appealing Legend who I'd like to get my grubby little mits on.
But moving on - we wanted to go see a movie - some French film with subtitles - but it wasn't in the theatre when we got there, so we wandered around the mall for a while, until I noticed the disturbing fact that there was NO ARCADE. What kind of sick bastard...well, anyways, we left there soon afterwards, back to Nancy's where we hung out for a bit, and then me and Leslie went back to her place.
Since the Mullin family was going to be up and about at 5:00am, they gave me Sean's room over a nice night on the couch - apparently the coldest room in the house. That suited me just fine - I'm the type-a guy who likes a chilly enviroment warded off with a nice warm blanket. After getting settled down, me and Leslie stayed up for a long bit, just talking, mostly about Claire. ^_^* Sometime around 2:00, I got into my bed and listened to a CD until I drifted off to sleep.
March Fifth - The Hole In My Mind
I'm not really sure what happened that morning. At some point, I got up and packed, and then me, Leslie, and her mom went out for Mexican for Lunch. It was good stuff, though I wish I'd gotten more enchilada and less taco. I wish I had an enchilada now. Mmmmm.... Back to Leslie's, where we went over her answers to my friend's quiz (four years - come now, give me SOME credit...) and then I was off to my sister's place.
At Jen's, we hung out in her Great Room until Shawn went of to work, and then plugged Luke and Alex into the car to go spend her Birthday Money. We went to the mall and wandered around for some two or three hours until she decided on her T-shirts. From there, we went to rent Atlantis and order a pizza - all my treat. ^_^ I like doing nice things for my sister.
We ate the pizza while we watched Atlantis, then played a game of Majong with Matt. When he had to go to bed at 11, we popped in The Last Unicorn and watched that while we waited for Shawn to get home at Midnight. Soon after he got back, they went to bed, and I shaved and did likewise, pulling out the blanket Claire'd given me - Jen's Great Room gets a bit Chilly.
March Sixth - Wednesday Storms
I layed around in bed for a number of hours, I think, finally getting up at about noon. I ate a breakfast of Life Cereal that like hadn't finished (Life and Crispix are about the only two cereals I would DIE to eat) and then chatted with Jen a while before Calling over to Leslie's to see when abouts they expected me. Her mom answered, and said she was out until about 7:00, but if I wanted to play video games with Shawn, I could come over at 6:30. She was 1/2 joking, but I took her up on the offer, and she said that worked because that way if there was any over-lap, I'd be there with Shawn until Leslie got back. So, I muddled around Jen's place until then - ran out and got us Taco Bell for lunch, and rthen headed over to Leslie's at 6:30.
Except, it was 5:30. ><*
So, I spent a long while talking with Leslie's mom about what it was like without Leslie around and all that fun stuff, cause Sean was at a friend's house. At about 6-ish, I wanna say, Leslie came storming in, very upset, because she couldn't find where she was supposed to be. Her mom eventually found the place, and Leslie's Sensei was still there, so I offered to watch Sean so Leslie could make her visit. Leslie was rather upset with leaving sean with me, but that wasn't the point, so in the end, she left.
Me and Sean played games for a while, and then Leslie got back sometime after 8:00, I think. She wanted to talk, so we left Sean to his games and went in the other room. The talk was, I think, interesting. I donno, it seems Leslie felt I thought less of her or something, for being straight-laced. I'm still not quite sure what she meant by that, but it seems the diffivulties she was having stemmed from simple miscommunications, and I like to think things were cleared up.
When Leslie's mom got home, we headed to Nancy's, and then - the Abyss.
The Abyss was less than we hoped. We'd been expecting a nice bit-a techno, and found only salsa and hip-hop. -_- See the pain. We suffered through it for a few hours - after all, dancing with friends is fun regardless, yes? Even if I don't do it well. ><* After dancing, we went and got Slurpees (mine was a bit TOO sour) and then to Nancy's again, where we had popcorn and chatted. At about 3am we get to bed, me and Leslie on the top bunk, Nancy snoring on the bottom, and Rocky on the floor. Me and Leslie talked a bit after that, but then we, too, fell into the night.
GO!
