Stats and Such

So, the World of Darkness Site has revealed a Preliminary Character Sheet (pdf) (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 ) for their new system.
A few things oif note: I like how they revamped the Attributes to give a more clear vision of Physical, Mental, and Social equivalents of Strength, Dexterity, and Stamina. It makes wrapping your mind about the 'what' of a stat quite a bit easier.
I also like the idea of the Virtue/Vice system rather than that funky Nature/Demeanor thing. The N/D system was a nice shot at psychology, but people have far too many demeanors (depending on situation) to make it much of a game system. Changeling had the Legacies, both Seelie and Unseelie, showing who your character is in both a Good and Bad light -- I like that more, it gives a better picture of the character as a person, and I think the Virtue/Vice thing might be similar.
Morality I don't follow, except in how it might relate back to the old V:tM (which I think was the backbone of that game, really, and the whole thing falls apart when you ignore or downplay it). If that's the case, I think it's cool. I like the idea that, specifically in the mechanics, everyone has this moral-dilemma aspect.
The new division of skills is iffy for me... I think I like it more than the education-division that the Storyteller (this 'new' system is the Storytelling) system had, in that it opens up more ideas for what an uneducated character may or may not be able to do, but I'm still really comfortable with the education-division, so I'm not so sure about the change... I'm pretty confident it'll turn out for the best, though.
The new Traits, like Size, Defense, and all that look to me nice additions, too, and I like how Health is based more on who your character is, and not just a set score that everyone shares equally. Now Bruno the Beef and Ned the Nerd will fight differently, not just in style, but in effect, too. Mechanically speaking, of course -- anything can be done when you declare it as such.
I only have Acrobat 5.0 here at work, so there may be little oddities that I missed, but I think I got the general gist of it. I'm looking forward to this game and, though I'm sketchy on things in general still, I think it could be cool to try running this in the Fall...
