Father Beal is a rather clever man. "I ought not to have children with other people," he said, "typically women." This was, of course, as a precursor to the fact that he, himself, could not bear a child. Another time he said, "Let's just say, in Amsterdam, they have a Red Light district where you can go window shopping... check out the 'wares.'" Enter RandomGuyâ„¢, "Check out the what?" "Women."
The beauty of the day struck me as I was leaving campus. I'm well aware all year that Autumn is my favorite Season. It isn't until Autumn rolls around each year, though, that I remember why.
The sun shone bright and warm in the clear, soft-blue sky, and a small shower of gold and orange leaves blew across the intersection as I sat at the red light. It was beautiful. Then the light changed.
I passed by a Cemetery on the way to work this afternoon, as I do most every time I go to work. This time, though, I thought to look beyond the wrought-iron fence and stone wall to see the actual Cemetery. A green park, with grassy rolling hills, winding white walkways, and interspersed trees, sprinkled with headstones. It was beautiful. I thought to myself, "When I die, I want to be buried on a hill, near some trees." I'll have to remember to have that in my Will...
'Bohemian Rhapsody' sometimes reminds me of Drag Queens, and Vise Versa...
