Random Musings

Father Beal is a rather clever man. "I ought not to have children with other people," he said, "typically women." This was, of course, as a precursor to the fact that he, himself, could not bear a child. Another time he said, "Let's just say, in Amsterdam, they have a Red Light district where you can go window shopping... check out the 'wares.'" Enter RandomGuyâ„¢, "Check out the what?" "Women."

The beauty of the day struck me as I was leaving campus. I'm well aware all year that Autumn is my favorite Season. It isn't until Autumn rolls around each year, though, that I remember why.

The sun shone bright and warm in the clear, soft-blue sky, and a small shower of gold and orange leaves blew across the intersection as I sat at the red light. It was beautiful. Then the light changed.

I passed by a Cemetery on the way to work this afternoon, as I do most every time I go to work. This time, though, I thought to look beyond the wrought-iron fence and stone wall to see the actual Cemetery. A green park, with grassy rolling hills, winding white walkways, and interspersed trees, sprinkled with headstones. It was beautiful. I thought to myself, "When I die, I want to be buried on a hill, near some trees." I'll have to remember to have that in my Will...

'Bohemian Rhapsody' sometimes reminds me of Drag Queens, and Vise Versa...

It's somehow only after reading this entry three times and taking a run that I got the last sentence of your post. ::laughs:: I am either extremely slow today, or perhaps I simply don't think of that occasion nearly as often as I should.

The paragraph about passing through the cemetary is one of the lovelier things you've written, I think.

-grins- You and Beth, I think, are the only ones who an ever truly appreciate that last sentence. -laughs- Good times, good times.

^_^;; I just tell it like it is, but thanks...  ^_^;;
