I used to think that the most frightening things in the world were concepts like Death, Eternity, and Being Utterly Alone. Those things are frightening, yes, but not quite so bone-chillingly terrifying as the mother who said this of her toddler:

"He is his own person. If I tell him to stop, and he chooses not too, that is his choice. Who am I to force my will upon him?"

I'm going to have nightmares for a week.

I have more to say, eventually, but aparently this lady said what she did after her son ignored her suggestion to stop hitting a little girl with a toy. How much worse does that make it?  -shudder-

do you happen to knoe where this lady lives? 'cause i'd like to go hit her ... no, wait, i've got a better idea. i'll teach her kid how to break the tv and everything fragile in the house with a golf club or something, and then we'll see how unwilling she is to discipline him ... *mwa ha ha*
