Mar. 15th, 2005 11:39 pmSo, I got kinda crestfallen earlier today.
Background A: I'm friends with this guy Jason (
quix), who was one of the first RPers around DC who I met, and a really cool guy. I was in a Changeling game this summer with him, his brother, and a few other people.
Background B: I recently got back onto OKCupid, though I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe it was the quizzes, maybe it was the need to meet new people. I personally think it was crack in the water, but the tests have proved inconclusive. The point is I found Jason on there and added him as a RealFriend (as opposed to all those fake ones you build up over time, I guess).
Anyways, I was checking OKCupid and it said I had a Comment to accept -- or decline, as it seems they don't want random people running around and saying nasty things about people they don't know. So there's a link to the girl's profile (cause it was a girl who commented), and a link to the actual comment. I check out her profile, cause I don't know who could possibly be leaving comments about me. And as I'm checking out her pictures, two things occur to me: Firstly, she's really pretty and, secondly, she looks vaguely familiar. And that's when I notice that OKCupid's telling me, near the top, that she's part of my "friend network" -- specifically, she's friends with Chris, who's Jason's brother. And THAT's when I recognize who she is, and I laugh -- cause the last time I met her, the first thing I thought was that she was pretty. And so I'm getting kinda excited t'get back in touch with her, and I go to see what Comment she left, ( and... )
And, speaking of OKCupid, I made a friend. Sorry I couldn't chat earlier t'night, Emily, things get hectic around here sometimes.
