Trials of the Workforce

Oh, so get this: I go in to work this morning, and I'm filling out my timesheet, and as ever Billy comes over and asks if I've been filling it in every day. Which I have, because he asks me every day if I've logged my hours, and because it's the simplest way to keep track of my time. That's what the sheet's there for, after all. And he tells me once again that he doesn't really care, it's just that Bonnie gets on his case about it if he doesn't ask, and this I can understand.

But today he went further, and said that Bonnie thinks I just fill it all in at one time because it's written with the same pen! This causes all new levels of rage toward that woman! Not only is she self-righteously arrogant, but now it seems she's at best paranoid and at worst an idiot! Of course it's written with the same pen! It's written with my pen, which I carry on my at all times in case, you know, I have to write something!

What gets to me the most though isn't that she doesn't trust me on my hours -- that I could deal with. No, what bothers me is that she won't confront me. She'll sit and stew and make accusations, sure, but not to my face. If you're going to have an attitude like that about someone, at the very least be upfront about it. She's false, and that's what really gets under my skin.
