May. 27th, 2004 08:35 amWell, I preOrdered the World of Darkness corebook and the Vampire: The Requiem supplement... They don't come out until August, and I make a point of not preOrdering things, generally, but they note a special promotion that gets free shipping if you preOrder them both together, and I *know* I'm going to get both of them in August, anyways... Hopefully I'll manage to get a group to play with, though I'll probably be running the game, if anything.
Liking the two games I'm in so far, the Werewolf and Changeling. Mostly the Changeling one, but that may be because we haven't played but a session or two of Werewolf. I think the group is generally irritating Kirt with our reluctance to move actively; the trouble is it's default for both OldSchool roleplayers and new players in general to take a reactive stance and wait for the GM to initiate things. I think I'm going to try and do things more actively with Gallin (my Troll), like watching after his sister and stuff, and once Lady Beth vanishes (as Kate is leaving for CA soon), it'll give him more of an inclination to search the Dreaming and elsewhere... With Beth around, he's inclined to stand be her side, but she seems inclined to stay 'within the lines,' true to her character, and as a unit they don't seem to get very far unless something shakes them up.
I had more to say, but I've forgotten it...
