Someone Turn Off The Sun
Mar. 3rd, 2003 02:37 pmFunny thing -- I feel like I haven't posted in the longest time, but I just posted last night. perhapse it's simply because I haven't posted anything of import for some time.
Trevor and Rose left this morning for their Spring Break trip -- I drove them to the Airport at about 5am, and I've pretty much been sleeping ever since.
Yesterday was pretty cool. I slept till noon or so, and went to mass. Headed over to Louis's at about 2:30, and watched him and Will try and put a new computer t'gether. I can't remember if they succeeded or now. Then we went out to the store to get Christine a new Vid-card. Christine's pretty cool -- yeah, she smokes and she's more than a little vulgar, but she's nice enough. It's always a fun time. Afterwards Louis, Will, and I went out for sushi. Apparently the MD/DC area has alot of sushi places. I must learn more. -nods- We had the usual, Eel and Tuna and Salmon. It was Will's First, so we got him a couple of California Rolls to start, and also had some Shrimp, Yellowtail, and Squid. It was a good meal. -nods-
On a disappointing note, my Weekend with Amanda has steadily declined, due to one thing or another, and it now seems as though we won't be meeting up until sometime early-Sunday. -sigh- On the plus side, she's really rather excited t'see me still, so that's a plus. We'll see how things go.
Now then, I have a number of things I plan to do for the remainder of the day: Watch Kenshin, watch Bubblegum Crisis 2040, (maybe) get my room straightened up, play Arcanum, and/or start on one of the dozens of books I've been meaning to read.
Even with a week of nothing to do, I don't know if I'll have the time.

| Her knees shook and then finally gave out beneath her. She dropped heavily into the couch, staring blankly at the door in front of her. The sound of it's gentle closing rang harshly in her ears. He left me, she thought. He just left me. Her throat caught now; her eyes burned. She had done so well up until now. She hadn't really believed he would leave. Unconsciously she gripped her knees. Her hands were shaking, and she was feeling light-headed. Doesn't he know how well we fit? Doesn't he know ...? She half expected him to walk back in the door, with that look on his face, the look he got when he was feeling foolish. She couldn't believe he was really gone. What do I do now? She could hear his soft voice inside her head. What am I supposed to do without him? Doesn't he know how much I need him? A single teardrop seared a hot line down her cheek. She cried for a very long time. |
