Quick Update
Jan. 12th, 2003 07:52 pmHey all. -waves-
Found out late on Friday that the Dorms were NOT going to be open on Saturday when I got in. Whee. So I called my uncle who was picking me up and asked if I might spend the night, and it was all cool. Tina introduced me to Kingdom Hearts and made me play it because I was griping about how I simply can't respect it as a video game, let alone an RPG. I must admit, it was fairly decent -- but I still can't respect it because it has Final Fantasy characters when it most definately should not and because of how much of an obvious rip-off of FF7, FF8, and FF10 it is. The only thing I give Square credit for is they didn't drag the classic characters of FF4, FF5, and FF6 through the mud (that and the fact Cid was a cool guy).
Also started a game in FF10, just long enough to see the starting sequences and get REALLY confused. I might be interested in playing that (after I finish 7 and 8, and maybe 9) to see what's going on. Aren't they all dead anyways?
Had to go to Mass with Johnny, as I'm supposed to be his Confirmation Sponsor and they were doing a Confirmation thingy t'day. Then they took me out to Lunch, which was cool. All told, I got to my room about 24 hours later than I'd hoped to. Oh well.
Got in, started unpacking, gave up when I found my computer frozen, restarted, then back to unpacking, and then checked my mail and LJ. Whee. Got messages from Mel and Louis and Tatsu and everyone and stuff. -joy- Claire mentioned my latest Snippet and said she liked it -- I'm quite proud of it myself, and it's my longest one yet. Go read it, now.
And this just in -- Gene and Josh (and Greg) made in onto the Cast for 'The Hobbit!' Josh is Bofur the Dwarf and Gene is a Hobbit-ish Auctioneer (and Greg's a Hobbit-ish peasant). Go Hobbitses and Dwarf!
I suppose that's about it. Late Birthday wishes to both Leslie and Louis, and early such wishes for both Mel and Beth. Now, to figure out what classes I have t'morrow and where...

A Small Request
Jan. 12th, 2003 11:33 pmI'm always looking for new music. But i'm always forgetting the names of good songs, and I have a tendancy to go long periods without finding anything 'new' (by which I mean that I haven't heard, not recent).
Because of this, I just have a small request -- If I could ask anyone reading this to quickly leave a comment containing the names and artists of two of your favorite songs and two must-hear songs, that'd help me out alot. Feel free to leave more, but... Yes, I go now. -headache-
