Well, I think I had something to say. Maybe. But I'm really tired, so I don't think I'm gonna make much of a post this eve. I know I always TALK about getting in bed early, but I think tonight I really WILL. Anyways, been really kinda happy since last night - ontop of everything else listed in yesterday's post, my sister and I had a nice chat, and she said I was one of her best friends. ^_^;; I'm such a sap, I know.

Anyways, I burned some CDs tonight - my friend Oli and her Roomie asked me to make them a couple discs, so I did. I suppose I'll end off with a listing of those CDs, just cause I can.

Ahhh, Dashboard Confessional. Right then. I guess they could be PunkThatsNot. In that sense, I guess Lucky Boy Confusion might also be Emo, but I'm not sure. I think I've heard rumors that Blink 182 is Emo....? Is Wheezer? ^_^;; I'm still at a loss for what Emo is, though...

As far as Whatever You Need goes, that's actually the only Dashboard Confessional song that I have (that is, I downloaded a slue of them, but deleted all the rest). I think it's actually a pretty good song, though not the Best of the Best, y'know?

Additionally, I listened to Ohverin last night, and I REALLY liked it. Really. I'm afraid Me Neither kinda sticks out a bit (and maybe that could been fixed by moving some songs around) but I put it in there as one of the "Goofy" songs - and I think Oli likes Country, anyways. I hope. I feel kinda weird admitting it, but I REALLY like Hunter by Dido, and it's rather been stuck in my head all day. ^_^;; Now I'm rather Jealous of Oli, cause she gets t'keep it.

I'm such a weeeeeirdo.

No, no, Blink 182 is Pop Punk (my term). Weezer is Emo-looking (since now it's a whole damn fashion style as well...but Weezer did it first), but they don't do Emo stuff.

Never heard "Whatever You Need". I have this weepy song called "For You to Notice", which I listen to when I'm feeling particularly ignored by the opposite sex. I'm really not into Emo. I like sad songs...I like dark songs...I'm not into weepy.

And as for the fact that you don't get to keep the CD...just make yourself one, dork!!

::Blink blink:: I'm never going to understand there's genres. I'll just stick to "Angry" and "Dark" and "Happy" and such...

Whatever You Need is OK - like I said, not great, but it's good if you're in that sorta mood. Kinda like Bread. :p
I don't understand your term 'weepy' (as I've mostly associated it with menopause for some reason...?) but I think I can understand why you say they're "whiny."

As for the CD - yeah, I could make a copy. But I suppose an painter could copy one of their works, or a sculptor, or an architect. The point isn't whether it's Art by anyone else's standards, nor is the point whether or not I COULD duplicate the CD. It's a something which I created, and to copy it seems to devalue it, I suppose. I've only 'copied' one CD ever, and that was contrived - a twin set if you will. Additionally, there are connections I've made between Ohverin and Vigor and (even if only I perceive them) a copy of one would not truly be complete without a copy of the other.
Call me weird, that's my story. And I'm sticking to it.
