Took a razor to my face again today.
I do it about once a week. Sometimes twice.
I think I've decided I like Concrete Blonde, but I'm not sure.
I do like Rain, Angel, and Dance Along The Edge.
I also like Anarchy and Dogma by KMFDM.
Does anyone know if that means anything?
Like MxPx is supposed to be something about plaid...?
I'll update more later, I want to Burn ths CD.

Dude! Concrete Blonde! They're really good! And "Bloodletting" is such a friggin' cool song. Another one that I really, really, really love is called "Jesus Forgive Me (For the Things I'm About to Say)". I like to listen to that one on days like today, when I just want to crush someone's collarbone beneath my fingertips. How'd you hear about them?

As for what you liking all these songs means...nothing, is what I'd say. The Afghan Whigs are my favorite band, and a good deal of their songs are about rape, arson, drug and alcohol abuse, messed-up relationships, and raw sex. Now, I dunno how others see me, but...

^_^ My point is, we like the stuff we like, and I'm sure there's some weird psychology behind it (I've analyzed why the Whigs speak to me as much as they do, but I won't go into that here), but when it comes right down to it, we just like good music. And that's all that matters.

Well, that's not EXACTLY what I meant by "does it mean anything" - that is, does KMFDM, the name, mean aything? I was told that MxPx came from M.P. (using x's instead of periods), which stood for "Multiple Plaid" or something.

I do, how ever, have theories on the psychology behind music - that is, not just what we like and why, but how music, even beyond lyrics, can affect us. it's quite interesting, perhaps we could discuss it sometime.

As for how I heard about them - you, of course. ^^ i've been stubling around alot of old stuff, pushing on two and three years ago, and these Concrete Blonde songs are one bit of that stumbling. Haven't found the Jesus one, though - I'm still looking.
