I think most everyone will remember the "McDonald's Coffee Incident," where some Lady spilled coffee on herself and got millions of dollars 'cause it was hot.
I've always been one of the ones to take this as a disgusting example of how the Legal system has been twisted, and the general feeling of irresponsibility for one's own actions that seems prevelant in American Society. Me and my brothers even joked about it - duh, of course the coffee's hot. What, do you want it cold?
This all seems rather ignorant, now. Lurking on BlackManXy's journal, I found an article that sheds new light on the subject. It may be worth a read.
