I Was Going To Say Something Important.

Really. I Was.
So, uhm, yeah. Here I am. At work. Sitting. I'm trying to get this page I've been working on to load, and the thing's hanging. ><* It's not just my page, either - it's the whole intranet. Save, I donno if anyone else is having problems with it. ><* Maybe this computer just can't HANDLE the page... ^^;; I know this monitor must be dying - the brightness rolls in and out when you change windows - that can't be good for my eyes. ><*
I had eggs for breakfast today. Well, AN egg. Scrambled. With cheese. And a little toast. I wasn't very hungry - fact, I was feeling rather sick. ><* Plus side, I don't feel sick now. Minus - now I'm hungry. Got about 2 hours 'fore I take my lunch break and go get Taco Bell. Would have brought a REAL lunch, save I didn't feel up to putting one t'gether this morning.
Hmmm, what else? It's awfully quiet out therem on the Internet. I guess there's been decent traffic on LJ, considering it's Summer. Comments seem to be few all around. I haven't been getting e-mails, either, though by the same token, I haven't been sending any. It's rather a vicious cycle - you'd send an e-mail if you got one, but as you haven't gotten any, you aren't sending any...
Started reading another Mage: The Ascension book. That's the White Wolf RPG I'm currently interested in. Fun stuff. I swear I'll read a real book as soon as I finish this one. Anyways, Hollow Ones, as the book is called, is about Orphans - Mages without a Tradition. Yeah, that would mean something if you knew the game. Yeah...well, they also tend to be goths. Seeing, though, how I've taken to the group ("Tragic heros, standing on jagged cliffs over roiling waves, durring storms...") maybe Gryphon was right - maybe I am a closet goth.
^^;; Heh, me, a goth. Feel the humor.
There's gotta be something important for me to say....
Getting kinda tired of this whole "Summer" thing. Don't get me wrong - it's a nice idea. I like my family, it's cool hanging out with my brothers, the pay is good, but... ::Shrugs:: Miss my friends, I guess. Kinda feel rather...detached from them, seeing as I'm sepparated by several timezones. Guess I just wanna get back East, settle back into the familiarity of College Life, and get back in touch with my friends - the way things used to be. I liked it like that.
><* And I want this dam page to load! *kicks machine*
Let's see how long I can get this post to go...I haven't had a long post in too long...
Nothing much to update on, though. Work's been fine (save this latest development ><*), and I get paid next Friday...after that I've only got another couple weeks before I head back East. *pre-emptive sigh of relief* Mom and Dad are talking like we may get another car for Maryland (read: Me!!), and even go so far as to say that, depending on if I can get a Real job durring school, I may buy it myself.
'Wait,' they say, 'That's not cool. Why should you pay?'
Ah, yes, but then it would be MY car. Being able to drive a car is one thing. Being the SOLE driver of a car (as I would be in MD) is quite a step up. But OWNING a car, that's a whole new ball game. They did say I'd still prolly be under their insurance, which is the one thing about owning a car that would intimidate me, but who knows - it may not happen at all. I'd love to get back some wheels, though. ^^;;
><* Still an hour and fifteen minutes before lunch. I'll post this, see what happens.
Note to self - forget people are reading this thing, again. You write better when you don't think.

Date: 2002-07-23 11:20 am (UTC)::laughs:: Andrew, a closet goth...well, that'd explain why you didn't put up too much of a fight when I asked you to be Setsuna...

Date: 2002-07-23 11:41 am (UTC)When did you send this alleged mail?
^^ Well, Setsuna aside, it WOULD open a window onto my tates in music...well, kinda...to an extent...

Date: 2002-07-23 11:51 am (UTC)I sent the mail that didn't get to you on the 8th of July, in response to that one entry where you were "rolling over and waiting to die". I didn't feel it was appropriate to comment, but you sounded so miserable, so I sent you an e-mail expressing my concern and love.
