Yes, yes, I know that we agreed to model my thesis after Melissa's (it was my idea, stop pretending like it wasn't), and I know you "expect the same level of detail" as she had. That's fine, that's no surprise, but it's also not what I asked. What I asked was if my thesis should talk about the DBPS as it ought to be -- that is, with all the fancy server functionality and data-base accesses and special privileges -- or should I be writing more about the prototype that I'm actually implementing, which does not spawn children, does not access databases, and does not, in fact, have any special privileges? Should the thesis paper map to the ideal we're hoping for, or the actuality that you're really getting?
And for Pete's sake, stop phrasing all your responses like I'm trying to get out of work. I'm not. But I don't know what you want and there's no way for me to find out except for asking you.
God I hate academics.
