Same as the other two. Whee.

1. What time do you usually get up in the morning? What time do you like to get up in the morning?
On a typical weekday I *try* to get up between 6 and 6:30, 'because I have class at 8. Presumably I'll be doing likewise when I have a Real Job, if not earlier. I like getting up around 7:00 or 8:00 -- which, apparently, makes me a morning person. If it's a late night, I'm OK sleeping until 9:00, but I really dislike sleeping in, I can't hardly stand just laying in bed, and I feel like a lump if I'm having lunch as soon as I'm out of bed (or worse, skipping lunch because it's almost dinner time anyways).

2. What tickles you most about life right now?
Tickles me? -laughs- Oh, I don't know. Actually, I'm quite struck right now by this class I'm taking on disassembly and reverse-engineering software (with a computer-security perspective on the whole thing). I *really* like it. To the point where, for the first time ever I'm thinking of my career as something I could actively enjoy, not just something I need to do to put food on the table and pay the mortgage. And that's something for me.

3. We all have comfort foods, but do you have any other emotional security blankets? Books, movies, songs, places, objects that you pull out from time to time when you're feeling low?
Fun fact: I had a little sleeping bag when I was, like, six or something, with cars and trucks and stuff on it. I had it as a very literal security blanket for years and years -- long enough to be embarrassing. :p It got raggedy and I eventually 'saved' it from my parents; I haven't 'used' it for years, but it's currently sitting in my closet.

Along similar lines, I have a blue fleece-type blanket my mom gave me when I went off to college. What can I say, I like blankets? It's tied up with memories of my mom and my First Love, so it's a pretty comforting thing. It's on my bed.

I also have hot tea as my ever-ready tether; it calms and soothes me like nothing else, especially black tea. But I guess that counts as 'comfort food.'

4. Do you put any stock into metaphysics and/or the paranormal? Why or why not?
The short answer I guess is 'yes.' I'm not exactly sure what you mean by 'metaphysical' or 'paranormal,' but I strongly, strongly believe in a spiritual reality, beyond the physical, that most people ignore or forget or devalue most of the time. Generally, my spiritual reality is peopled with souls and angels and demons rather than, say, ghosts or faeries or psychic phenomenon, but what's to say that through a different lense these things aren't all the same?

5. Do you have any more or less useless talents?
I used to be really good at knowing a song's title and artist in the first 5 seconds or so, but not so much any more. I'm also fairly good at interpreting other people's code, but that's not really a useless talent, especially not if I go into disassembly and debugging as a career. I know the rules of Magic: The Gathering pretty thoroughly, but that's less of a talent and more of a knowledge. So... maybe the answer's no?

Go ahead.

On an unrelated note: the plural of phenomenon is phenomena, not the other way around. Sorry, precision of language is just one of my quirks.

This is the part I'm bad at.

1. You've always seemed to profess a difficulty in talking to people or, rather, carrying on conversation. Why do you think this is so? What is most difficult about conversation to you?

2. You're months away from graduation, have you thought at all about what comes next? What plan, if any, do you have for the immediate-to-near future?

3. If money were no object, how would you choose to spend you life?

4. Last I recall, The Ditty Bops were your favorite band. What about their music do you find so appealing?

5. You were one of my first disciples in the ways of Magic: The Gathering, and have arguably matched or surpassed me in most aspects of the game. What is it you like most about M:tG?

Re: unrelated note -- yes, this I'm aware of, but I wasn't at my keenest mentally when I wrote up that response. Plus, 'psychic phenomena' wasn't really a key point to what I was saying, so it didn't get much scrutiny.

Why not? It may actually lead to (heaven forbid) me actually using my journal...

1. What do you see LiveJournal as being, and why do you not use it?

2. Is there anything about yourself that you've learned in college you didn't know before?

3. Unless I'm mistaken, you major is something of a "theologist of the humanities." What role do think religion plays in American culture, and what role do you think it should play?

4. As it seems you believe in a spiritual reality as much or more than I do, what's your take on 'classic' supernatural phenomena, like ghosts, ESP, and general superstitions?

5. OK, honestly, who wins: Peach or Daisy and why?
