Frustrated and Irritable

So, today's just been all-around rather frustrating. Firstly because I'm lost on how to begin my current Vulnerabilities homework... which isn't really true, I know what I need to do, I practically know what I need to code, but I'm getting hung up on the fact that I don't have the needed libraries and can't seem to find them in any sort of (Windows-)usable format.
So I decided to finally take the effort to dual-boot my Desktop, something I've been meaning to do for a while. But the 'easy' way to do that is to have Windows on one hard disk (check) and Linux on another (not-so-check). So I needed to go out and get a new hard drive. No big deal.
Except that I got lost going there. It wasn't a huge ordeal, I just called Laurel up and she put me straight in a couple minutes, but I hate being lost. I can not adequately express that, especially since anyone who's listened to me long enough (and, I imagine, Jessi and Jason in particular) know that I get lost rather frequently. I hate it.
So I got there, I grabbed the cheapest hard-drive they had (80 Gigs), and then thought, 'while I'm here...' I picked up a (relatively) cheap TV that I could hook my PS2 into (and maybe watch Heroes if the TV's taken on Monday nights). I also grabbed a 'wireless access point' -- though I'm not sure if that's what I needed, and I don't know if it's going to do what I want it to.
See, the house I'm in has wireless internet access, which is really convenient if you have a laptop (I don't), and at least means there's not hassle with wires for desktops. Unfortunately, wires tend to have a little something I like co call 'reliability.' Right now my computer says she's connected to the network with a 'Very Low' signal and running at 11 Mbps. It doesn't seem to mean much, really, except that some of my sitres seem to take a little bit of a hesitation before loading, and the last time I tried to game online I got *horrendous* lag. This is all because I'm in the lower back corner of the house, probably about as far away from the router as I could get.
So what I wanted was some sort of a repeater. I asked one of the Best Buy people, not because I thought he'd know what I needed, but because I was pretty sure I didn't. He seemed to know and got me This. Looking over it I still can't tell if it's what I need, but setup requires me to plug it in directly to our router -- which it says is only necessary for setup, but I don't really know where our router *is*. So it's frustrating.
Which is right where my dual-booting project is, too, because I got home to find that my IDE cable -- the thing to connects hard drives to computers -- is not in my computer, it's in storage. Which closed about the same time I left for the store.
And the TV? Works good so far except (1)I've never really wanted a TV in my room, even now, (2) the cable outlet is across the room from any power outlets, and (3) there's nowhere to put it! Right now it's sitting on the floot at the food of my bed, which is workable, but... -shrugs- Just a little irritating, I guess, all-in-all.
And I'm hungry and my room is a mess and none of my professors will return my emails and all* of my friends are 3,000 miles away and I'm still single and I'm probably going to die old, alone and melodramatic, without even any cats because that would be comforting.
I'm gonna try getting over this sickening self-pity; I need to be functional tomorrow.
