I just spent nine minutes with Claire.
I woke up at 8:00. My alarm was set t'go off at 8:14 (it's 4 minutes fast), so I turned it off. I finally got out of bed at 8:30. I showered, got dressed, and at 9:30 Claire called me, all-but saying she was lost. ^^;;
At 9:58 I was thinking 'she should be here soon....' *knock-knock* The little punk had gained entrance to the building and come up to see me. ^___^
I put up an away message ("I've learned that if I don't have AIM up, people worry about me"), grabbed my bag, and we went down to her car.
Grandma and Grandpa were outta town this weekend, and I'd recently aquired a key to the house (as in, just t'day), so I figured that'd be a great place to hang out - they have better beds, anyways, seeing as we both wanted t'lay down with eachother. ^^;;;
In retrospect, I think it was a great move. Jon's parents had come down this weekend to see his performance in the Opera, so we'd have had to dodge them, at least if we wanted to lay down in my bed (though, maybe if we were under the covers...)
On the way t'gramma's we stopped (girl has never gone through a drive through before, can you imagine?) and got Taco Bell. I splurged and got a Grilled Steak Burrito. I'm almost regretting that now (almost) as, after paying for Chinese t'night, I'm left with $6 out of the $50 I'd made at Gramma's. Where oh where does the money go?
We got to Gramma's and ate our Taco Bell (mmmm, Taco Bell) and then went upstairs to lay down a bit. ^^;;; It'd be a great injustice to the audience to say it was anything less than heaven, laying there next to her. We must've been there for several hours, rolling around (Claire has learned I'm quite restless). I don't think either of us wanted to leave that bed, but I did want to play Magic, so I think we went down at about 3:00 (that means we were in bed together for about three or four minutes).
We played three games of Magic - I used my Madness-enhanced Burn Deck, my Wurm deck, and my Zombie Deck. Claire was using a modified Blue/White premade deck from Odyssey, and made a good showing of herself. Against the Burn, she got mana-skrewed pretty bad. Against the wurms, I expected her to set up pretty well before my Wurms hit the board - but that was before I realized I could drop a 5/4 on turn three. She did very well holding me back, though, and I tried to show her a few combat tricks. The last game there were actually a few times I was afraid she was going to turn the tables on me, and she had me at a tight spot, to where she could tap my only two attack-abled creatures, if she tried it right. I had two removal spells, but I need those to drop her Mystics, who would've been hell had she hit threshold with them. I'm not sure, now, exactly how I managed to win...I think maybe it had to do with the 4/5 Lim-Dul's Cohort I dropped.
It was about 5:30 then, and she wanted t'be out of the house by 6:00, so we went in the back and laid down again for a bit. ^^;;; Again, it was very nice. Very nice.
At 6:30 we got out of the house and headed back to my dorm. She dropped me off at a little after 7:00, and then headed home herself cause she had t'be there by 9:00. ><* It's my fault if she gets in trouble - not because she nessisarily didn't want to stay, but because it was my idea.
It was still a very nice day. ^^ Very, very nice indeed.
