Topic one: It has come to my attention once more that I don't know what sort of girl I'm looking for. I know I don't want to 'need' her, if you understand my meaning. This topic deserves it's own post so I can organize my thoughts. I keep meaning to do that.

Topic two: I've just been told about a book called "What Would Machiaveli Do?" which I must read just for the title alone. It's apparently about office managers, or management, or something. Makes me want to get a WWMD bracelet or something...

I still haven't read The Prince. Right now it's behind The Subtle Knife, the Amber Spyglass, 1984, Paradise Lost, and Wicked. Probably a few more before I finally get to it. Lots of people tell me it's not worth my time, but the fact of the matter is I'm curious as to what's in there. There must be a reason everyone knows the book, even highschool kids who can't pronounce his name, right Leslie?

The Prince will seem very commonsensical and simple. Like "well duh, everybody knows *that*" sort of thing. It was revolutionary for the time period and is still worthwhile. Just don't expect anything mindblowing. Machiavelli's Art of War is also worthwhile if you can get through the slow, dry read.
