It's been a rather long time since I felt isolated from my friends because of my beliefs. I wonder if maybe it's because my beliefs haven't been under fire much lately. It's always far more exhausting than I remember to disagree with my friends.

In unrelated news, I almost assuredly have my Internship. Today I was quoted a salary, given a tentative start date, and I'm now expecting an email with forms to be signed and faxed back. And those forms, unless I miss my mark, are the Official Job Offer I've been waiting for! I'm going to be in Norfolk for six months! i'm going Home! I can't express how happy this makes me!
(The only thing that could make it better, maybe, would be finding Stephanie again...)

In slightly related news... The lonliness and emotional pain notwithstanding, it's occured to me that my time out here has really been some of the best days of my life. Ups and Downs as in all things, but with the dinners, the movies, the Trivia Nights, gaming at the card shop and Denny's, and my birthday... I've had some really, really great times out here. I'm not altogether thrilled to be getting out of here; I'm leaving a lot behind. I'll miss it. But I'll be back again, too, and even at that... life is good. And I think life will succeed in generally always being good.

Now, I think I'll take a shower, maybe watch a movie, maybe do something productive.
