This, my dear friends, is proof positive that there is a God.

In short: Lucas is releasing the unedited StarWars trilogy on DVD.

Lest I rave like a lunatic, I'll stop here, and eagerly await September.

If I may, the only thing of which this is proof positive is that Lucas is a liar who is willing to take back his firm-footed past statement about never releasing the Holy Trilogy on DVD because there is money to be made from the venture.

Personally, I take this opportunity to laugh my ass off for hours on end that Lucas was ever so dumb as to make that statement, considering that given enough time and technological advancement, it would be impossible for his foot to not end up lodged in his own throat on that one. But it would've been very interesting indeed were he still scuffing his foot on the pavement and sounding like a petulant child, saying, "No! I won't do it! Don't wanna!"

I agree with you whole-heartedly on Lucas being an avaracious liar and fool, but I was already getting together te requisite technology to convert my VHS trilogy to DVD-R. This makes all that unnecessary, and it makes me happy, regardless.
