So, I just went and saw the "Silent Hill" movie.
It. Was. Awesome. Like, wow.

So, the whole thing is based on this game series, which my friend Leslie is really into, and which has always sounded really cool to me. I once started to play the first game. And in the very beginning of the game there's this scene, with a dark alley, and odd camera angles, and the rain and the... the... the...! I couldn't get through that scene. I had to hand the controller to someone else.

That scene was in the movie.

And that's really all I have to say right now.

There's a lot that's in the movie. There's a lot they changed, too; lots of things my fellow hardcore fans are bitching their heads off about, and that I, by all rights, could be bitching my head off about as well. But...y'know...I liked it. For all its faults, it was a beautiful homage to my favorite games, and I can live with what they changed.

Now Christophe Gans needs to make Silent Hill 2 for the big screen. It has to happen.
