Two things of import happened today, really. Yeah, I went to classes and all that fun stuff, and almost got backed into a corner by Trevor when he asked me - not quite point=blank - what I thought of him dumping Rose. Yes, all that happened, and I suppose a little more. But really, only two important things happened to me: I had dinner, and I saw 'A Chorus Line'.

Now the first you may initially laugh at. Let me explain - you'll still laugh, but not at the thing itself. You see, I was left to fend for myself this evening as far as food goes - all my friends were going to Baltimore with The House, but I was staying back so I could, duh, see 'A Chorus Line.' But all is rarely so simple. When I got to the Dining Hall, Mary was in the back, but without room for me at her table. So I couldn't sit in the back as I'm used to doing, for fear that Mary would see me, and it would be awkward. I mostly decided to sit, then, on the right side of the hall, as it was likely enough as any to eat. This was foiled by the fact that Jon was sitting there with his friends. This was awkward because, while Jon and I are pretty good room mates, we've never really eaten together. in a similar way, but for different reasons as eating near Mary would be awkward, eating by Jon would be the same. And so, choice three - the left side of the hall.

I never eat on the left side. There's no reason to, it's just out of the way. But I chose a random seat over there and begin eating. Two bites later, who should walk up but Gina and The Irish Girl.

Now, as an aside, I suppose I should explain The Irish Girl. Simply put, I don't know her. Not really. One night a while back I was studying (gasp) with Jack and Christine for a Calc test (horror) and The Irish Girl was in the room, 'reading'. I laughed at her, she laughed at me, it was all quite amusing. And yeah, I think she's cute - while I don't KNOW she's Irish, she LOOKS Irish., and I've always thought the Irish were cute.

So, the Irish Girl looks at me as I have a mouthful of noodles and says 'Do you want to sit with us?' and with no other option, I nod my head, knowing I must look for all the world like the lost puppy dog I often feel like. I'd INTENDED on asking anyways, but she got to me first. So I go and sit with them,. and it's a little awkward, cause now three of their friends (including Christine from earlier) sit down, and I really don't KNOW any of these girls. I've kinda known Gina for a while, I studied with Christine, and I think The Irish Girl is cute, but that's about it. But, The Irish Girl makes an effort to talk to me, mostly about classes for next semester and all, but it was cool. And, uhm, yteah, that's pretty much the short and end of it. You can laugh at my pathetics now.

As for 'a Chorus Line' that was really a nice play. I went by myself as, tonight, all my friends were preoccupied. I got there 1/2 an hour before show, and so got to pay $5.00 instead of the usual $20. What a deal, yes? I had a seat up near the front, but rather off to the right side. It was OK. The play was great, really well done, I think. A number of the girls were pretty - most notably the short texan (or was that supposed to be a southern accent) the girl who couldn't sing, the girl who'd wanted to dance with her dad, and the girl on the end of the line in the begining. Rachel may know which characters I refer to. I doubt any of you will. None of you will know the actresses. i didn't quite think the blonde with the, uh, nose job or the agressive Leo were all that apealing, but there's no accounting for taste.

Anyways, even aside from the marvelous scenery, it was a good play. Great lines, good songs, and a really 'human' feel to it. I can imagine all the actors could really relate to the scene, if not now, eventually. I really liked it, if I couldn't quite get into the emotion of some of the scenes. I'm rather mechanical, yes?

And, so, that was my night. Tomarrow I have work, and I need to start working on my paper. I need a rough draft and an outline before noon on Monday, and some idea of what I'm going to ask him questions on. I figure I should have done some of it before now, but I had to change my subject. SO, this weekend it is. For now, I go sleep. Night, all.

a NOSE job?!

I believe it was a little more than that honey!

hehehe.

But yeah, I know exactly who your talking about. Character wise. And yes, it's a Texan accent. And if the girl on the end of the line sang the song "Nothing" and was Puerto Rican (or supposed to be), her name is Maralis (sp?). I'm guessing the agressive Leo was the one who was the older, more snotty one. But then, there's also Cassie, whom you didn't mention... so I don't know.

Hehehe. I love that show. Glad you saw it. It's really great.
