jackofallgeeksIn case you hadn't caught it by now: I'm going to Monterey!
My report date is September 19th, and classes atart on September 26th, but more than that I'll be there for a short while around March 7th, probably that preceding weekend (the 4th-6th). I'm not sure I know anyone who's reasonably close to Monterey (I'm not even sure where it is!), but just thought I'd put this out there, in case anyone wanted to prove me wrong.

Date: 2005-02-16 10:39 pm (UTC)My great great aunt and uncle would take me down there all the time in the summers when I was a small child, and we'd go poke at all the starfish and anemones and hermit crabs and snails and things. They're so cool! The beach is not the nicest in the world to look at, but the tidal pools are amazing. Don't miss it for the world. And be careful about stepping on those anemones. Stepped on one that made my foot all numb for about an hour. Course, you aren't five, so it probably would do less to you. But still.
