What's in a name?

This is mostly just for me, but...
Names I like: Marilyn, Margaret, Penelope (Penny for short), Cassandra.
I'm afraid naming a girl 'Penelope Portner' might be cruel, though...

I can anticipate misunderstandings already: 'Are you're parents having another kid?' 'Are you having a kid?' No, and not yet; these are just names I think I like, and I'll forget them if I don't write them down.

Indeed...Naming any daughter you may have Penelope would be cruel. I can hear the guys' locker room talk right now:

Guy A: Hey man, what are you doin tonight?
Guy B: Oh, you know what he's doin. **hearty laugh**
Guy C: Yeah, you know. **elbow jab**
Guy A: Oh right, that hot date. **rattail smack with a towell**
Guy B: Yeah, he's Plucking Penelope Portner.

I don't think that's a conversation you ever want anyone to be able to have about your daughter. :-P
