So, yeah, I went to study, and I think I accomplished something. I realized how simple what we were doing really was. Not that I figured it out any better, but conceptually, I get it. had I but more time to do my homework before this test... ><*

The Harvester
I have this awsome idea for a Magic deck. And it uses cards strictly fron the two newwest sets (Odyssey and Torment) - though, if I used my Tackklemaggot from Legends instead of the Nantuko Shade.... I LOVE this new cycle. Simply LOVE it. What with Threshold, and now Madness -

But my deck. It's ultra-creature-heavy, with a total of 28 creatures total - I almost want to up that number, add more wererats or slashers, maybe go for 30 or 32 creatures. You'll see why in a second. Anyways, it has 1 Nantuko Shade, 2 Dirty Wererats, 2 Boneshard Slashers, 4 Putrid Imps, 4 Childhood Horrors, 4 Frightcrawlers, 4 Carrior Rats, 1 Face of Fear, 1 Repentant Vampire, 4 Overeager Apprentices, and Braids (our little Dementia Summoner). To back up these guys, I have 2 Ghastly Demises, 2 Strengths of Lunacy, 2 Chainer's Edicts, 2 Innocent Bloods, 2 Burried Alive's, and an Insideous Dreams.

But the last card is what's really sick - Mortal Combat. With this card out, I have the alternate win conditions of simply getting 20+ creatures into my graveyeard - hence why so creature heavy, AND why they're such frail creatures - I don't care if they live or die, I can't lose. And with my Innocent Bloods and Symbiots (all those cards which help me gain Threshold) I'm sure to be dumping creatures into my Graveyard. once I get there - not hard with 2 Burried Alive's - if HE won't kill my creatures, I will, thanks to my Repentant Vampire.

Once I achieve Threshold, half of my creatues (14 of the 28) go Berserk and can't block. the smallest of those is a 2/2 symbiote (Putrid Imp), and the largest is a 4/5 Regernerative Wererat. If they don't take out my opponent, I'm sure to fill the Graveyard - one way or another - and so it's all down hill.

The only thing left is to plug in lands. I'd like lands that can help me achieve Threshold - but the only one's that would really fit are the Bog Ruins and the Cabal Pit - and the Pit an't help me until I GET Threshold (though it would be quite useful for removing defenders in the endgame). I think I may end up playing 4 of the pits and 20 Swamps, as I've recently been informed that winning decks have a higher curve - 24 to 28 lands. However, since I'm inclined to play 60-card decks, I'll either drop the curve, or meove some Spells (not creatures, I want to raise that). Worst case scenario, I play as 64-card deck. The statistics would be against me, but how could I lose?

My next goal - make a Shade deck, employing the revamped Dark Ritual - Cabal Ritual - and the glory that is the Cabal Coffers. If I go out and get more Odyssey, I can pick up some more Overeager Apprentices, as well. I think I should buy a Booster Box of Odyssey - I have so few...
