Well, today was alright. I got to sleep last night at about 4:30 or so, and managed to wake up at 8:30 in time to be ready for work at 9:00. I plan on going to bed soon after I post this, in an attempt to get back to some kind of regular sleeping schedule. Considering all the activity and lack of sleep I've hade lately, you'd think I'd be more tired.

Work was alright, and consisted mainly of wandering around and getting serial numbers off of machines. That going to be my work for most of this week, I think, along with WindowsUpdates. Kinda tedious, but it means I'll be out of the office, and I'll probably be solo for most of it, which is a good thing for this job. Oh, and I got yelled at (not literally) for eating today. I figured I'd grab my food and, so as to accomplish some work while eating, bring it back to the office to eat while I checked the laptops. apparently this is a no-no, or something. Fine, we'll play by their rules -- I have work from 9-12, and class from 12-4, so I'll just get my lunch and eat it in the cafeteria; waste their time, if they don't want me being productive.

Classes were alright -- well, more to the point, Philosophy was good, Bio sucked about as much as usual (though it was fun talking with Tara before hand), and I skipped my Systems Architecture course. I really shouldn't be skipping classes so early in the semester the way I seem to be doing...

Saw Katie Lapp briefly in the hall today, which was nice. As some may know, I went to grade school with Katie, and she recognized me ten years later when we both wound up freshmen at the same college. She's quite pretty, and I've always wanted to hang out with her more and be better friends, but we've both be so busy. -shrugs- But she was carrying some things into the Dorm, so I held the door for her and we exchanged a few "how are you" and "hope you're well" and the like. It was nice.

I went home in part to fill out my voter registration form, but mostly to play CoH. I tried to rename Svelt, but "Svelte" was already taken. Ah well, it's OK. tried playing with Leslie and Mike, but as they were both 9 and 10 levels ahead of me, I really felt like a little kid trying to play with The Big Boys. I literally couldn't keep up with them (I was running, they were all-but flying), and enemies which were childsplay to them made mince-meat out of me. So after a bit of that and building up quite a sizeable Exp Debt, we decided I should level up five or six more tiers before we try our Group Thing, and I went off to play in my Sandbox -- where I soon became the big fish in a small pond. I grabbed a Level 3 and a Level 2 to go in with me to take out some tenacious villains. It was a hard fight, but I came out with almost all of my debt paid, and my little buddies had rises to levels 5 and 4, respectively. It was fun. Just as a random note, I've given Svelt the name of "Jessica Kirkwood" for her real name. That's more so I remember it than that any of you care.

Now I have four characters; Svelt, a Mutant Scrapper; Bethan, a Magic Controller; Sic Semper, a Natural Tanker; and The Abandonment, a Magic Blaster. They're roughly levels Five, Three, Three, and One, respectively, but I'll probably get to playing with each of them at some point.

And now, bed.

If it makes you feel better, a lot of the higher level heroes(26+) find it quite normal to have 10k or more in debt as a regular basis. Makes you feel good about your 300 debt, huh? ;p

Hell, I had 2160+ debt against Geth the other night, and I'm still working that bollocks off. Andrew needs to count his damn blessings. ::smirks::

Me too; It's really a fun game -- which says something, as I've never been one to like Online gaming much at all. My ports still aren't open, though. I may be going home again tonight after class. My sister's visiting, anyways...

Ah, right. Fortunately for me, I went to school in those ancient days before ubiquitous high-speed internet, so the worst I had to deal with was the phone lines being down (well, and learning some UNIX shell, but that aside...).

But it means I'm still on a dial-up at home, which I take it is too slow to effectively play CoH. Dang. I could really go for a trenchcoat and an assault rifle about now...

I was running, they were all-but flying.

I was jumping. ^.^ And Mike was only running too, believe you me...he hates it when I jump as much as anyone who can't. ::snickers::

Sorry again about the troubles. You're a member of the supergroup for keeps, though, unless you ever wish to be free from it, so when you level up a bit more, come hang with us again. Geth's gonna be a 15 before too much longer, and D. just levelled to 12 today, so...well, we'll try not to stay too far ahead of you. Tonight, we're playing on Freedom with Phrost and Requiescat, and I really-really-really wanna level Nuncia up, and soon-like, and Miss Menarche, and Sevothtarte, and... ^___^ Well, you get the picture.

Hope to play with you again soon.

-laughs-
Mike might as well have been flying... He was always getting away from me...

The troubles are no biggy -- I worked off that insane deficit eventually. It was fun, I just wish we'd meshed better. And presumably, we will in a few levels, or so.

Can one be a member of two Supergroups at once? I love SF, and really want to be in your Group, but I was wondering about starting one myself -- really, all it comes down to is if Svelt can do it (she's my highest level right now, at 7), or if I'll just have to have Sic Semper, Bethan, or The Abandonment create one.

I'm thinking of trying to install it in the school's computer lab so I can play it here on campus. I don't think they'll ever open my ports. But I've been back home two days running now, just to play CoH...

Yeah, Mike's problem is he's really not group-oriented. Maybe I am because Geth's a healer, and thus I feel the need to stick close and keep an eye on my teammates, but Mike is so bad. There are times when he'll run off and do his own thing totally against the group, usually ending up getting himself killed, or sometimes others, when he isn't giving them the backup his presence should warrant. I'm trying to get him to be more conscientious about that - if he wants to do a solo act, let him go solo, but if he's part of a team, he needs to act accordingly. ::nods::

Nope, 'fraid not on that supergroup thing. If you wanna leave SF, feel free - I highly doubt it'll grow beyond Geth and D. as it stands...unless, of course, some other friends of mine join in. So do whatever you like. ^__^
