Why They Aren't Listed
Jim's Big Ego: I already list Jim Infantino, and I think that's good enough. His band members change all the time, anyways.
Poetry: Poetry's alright, and if i tried I could probably find some I liked, but i've never been a big fan, mostly cause I don't understand most of it.
Babylon 5: I've been told before that I might like this show, and maybe I'll check it out. But unil I decide I do like it, I can't really list it, can I?
Dancing: If we're talking Contra or Ballroom or English Line Dancing, than maybe. Maybe. But as dancing more often than not refers to anything else, and I'm really not a fan of that, it won't be listed. Maybe Contra or Ballroom should be, though.
Ben Folds: Meh. He's alright. Not extremely high on my list, but alright.
Photography: Yes, I love pictures, especially really well done artistic-types. But i don't 'do' photography, I don't know anything about it, and for the near future I have no real intent to learn. -shrugs- So it's not *really* an interest.
Folk Music: O.o  *twitch*
Radiohead: Yeah, they're good, but not really tops.
Movies: With as rarely as I get out to see ANY movie, this would be a lie.
Dar Williams: Who?
Tori Amos: Tori also lands in the "Good, but not really Interest-material" stack.
You: I think this falls under the "Why would anyone list this" category. I am interested in people, generally, but 'You' is a bit too personal-sounding.
They Might Be Giants: I do like some of their much older stuff, remnants of a highschool friendship, but they're generally pretty low on the totem pole.
Nicholas D. Wolfwood He's an anime character! And anyways, Vash is so much cooler.
Guitar I DO like guitar music, but I'm not learning the guitar, nor do I really plan to, so it doesn't make the list.
Kevin Smith: I like a bunch of his movies, but he's not speshul enough, himself.
Slash: No.
Ani Defranco: Meh, not really a fan.
Lord of the Rings: Good movies. I haven't read the books. I plan to, eventually. Not really an interest.
Piano: Pretty much fits in the same category as 'Guitar,' except maybe I will look into learning this one (again) sometime...

Ben Folds = all right?! Darling, you've not heard enough of him.

Radiohead - you've not heard enough of them either. If I didn't love the Whigs and the Twilight Singers so much, I think Radiohead might be vying with a very few other bands for my favorite band ever.

And - I'm sorry - did you just say that Vash is cooler than Wolfwood. Woo. Dearheart, just hope that Mike doesn't run across that little tidbit. He and all of his family will be on your doorstep tomorrow contesting that statement.

Ben Folds -- Ha ha! Mabe I haven't heard 'Enough', but I have heard a bit, at least of his older stuff. Most of my music, unless TechnoGoth, seems to be at least a clockturn behind. I like what I've heard, but he desn't make it on my Interests List. You'll note Blind Guardian, Queensryche, and Cruxshadows don't, either, and they very well may be my favorite bands right now.

Radiohead -- Radiohead is several steps above Ben, which says more about Radiohead than it does about Ben, and only a few steps below Blind Guardian, if I ever chose to really rank bands. As stated, though, that doesn't get them on the List.

Ha ha! And I repeat it, Vash is cooler than Wolfwood! Which says more about Vash than Wolfwood, as The Good Father is in fact very cool indeed. You will note, though, that neither is Vash on my List.

Kevin Smith is cool, but not List material. In general, my List is there for things that I'm actively interested in. With a few exceptions (Jhonen, M:tG, WoD, Kisses) they're less things of which i'm a fan and more things I would be interested in getting a book on and learning more about. That sorta thing.

(Ok, maybe it's about a 50/50 split between Interests and Likes, but I'd argue more toward 60/40 or 70/30...)
