Reminder: Do This

I need to remember to do something like This, once I compile a list of things I say, or something.
Actually, maybe you all can help me out? Comment and remind me of any off phrases I might use from time to time, as Lord knows I won't remember them... In the meantime, I'll search old LJ entries, saved emails, and AIM logs... Whee.

Date: 2004-06-04 01:59 pm (UTC)The #1 reminded me of something we used to say at college for the same purpose. "So how 'bout those cubs, eh?"

Date: 2004-06-04 02:12 pm (UTC)I don't know that saying "y'know" and "t'say" and such are really anything more than colloquialisms, myself, andf hardly worth mentioning. And "th'other" is just painful. :p
I had a non-sequitor like #1 once, but it was also something of an in-joke. I would say "So, there were these two ducks, right?" But really, that was more just like "yup, the conversation died," and was usually presented post humorously. Something like "And then there were some," which I use from time to time these days...
My favorite was the "Behold this creature that walks on two legs..." I really liked that one. ^_^
Appropriate icon, by the by.

Date: 2004-06-04 04:03 pm (UTC)And we use "And stuff." as a non-sequitor alot, often to and fro as we think of a new topic of conversation. "And stuff." "And... stuff." "Wow. Yeah and stuff. Oh did you hear..." etc.
A guy I was at school with used to say "Chicks dig it." It was his answer to just about any arbitary question containing "why". Sometimes it was hilariously funny. Actually come to think of it we had tons of these at school. We had "One chop short of a BBQ" to describe someone who was somewhat crazy... and it quickly became "that guy's a real chop" or occasionally (if we were feeling generous) "a chop an a half".

Date: 2004-06-04 02:59 pm (UTC)I'm looking more for phrases and less for emoticons, like *pokes*. We I do put *[action]*, I might as well put ^-^ or O.o which aren't really things I say...
whee!
Date: 2004-06-04 03:13 pm (UTC)"And such and stuff," for instance. n.-
