Oddly, 'Audacity (http://webster.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?book=Dictionary&va=audacity)' seems to have more of a positive connotation, by definition, than one might expect. Though an alternate definition does use 'arrogant' (though it connotes originality and un-restraint), and you can trace back through synonyms to get to 'insolent'...
