Let's see... My weekend...
Friday night, I went out to dinner and a movie with Trevor and Rose, we had dinner at Outback and were waited on by Ron the Scottsman. t was good. Then we saw Laws of Attraction, which was also good. I recommend the movie, but warn that it's one of those Romantic-Comedy chick-flicks.
Saturday I got up around Noon or so and waited for Zach (who had gotten wasted Friday night during and after unfortunate happenings) to wake up, then we headed to Balmer to see Anastasiya. It was pretty cool. She ordered pizza, most of which I ate. Soon after, three of her buddies came over, Mack, Chrissy, and Lauren. They were pretty cool. We all sat around and played this wonderfully-yuppie board game Anastasiya'd gotten from Wizards of the Coast. I could so see us all sitting around a coffee table with cappuccino in someone's den playing that game -- it was a lot like Cranium, actually. I liked it a lot. "Your family downsizes -- who do they get rid of and why?"
We got hungry again after the game an headed out to find food -- unfortunately, we were all unwilling/unable to decide where we were going, so we just kind of meandered around -- until we got to a spread of four or five Patrol Cars outside this upper-scale Italian-looking restaurant. Apparently a family of four (all grown) got drunk and started beating each other up, and had to get carried off by several cops each. We decided to back track and ended up going to some diner-type restaurant. As we sat waiting to be seated, we made this older lady (ie gray hair and wrinkles) laugh as we talked about sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll (quite literally). We were eventually seated and had a grand time cracking each other up and just generally having a ball. The waitress I didn't like, though, which is OK, because I don't think she liked us much, either. Unfortunately they added tip to the bill...
We headed back to Anastasiya's room then and played another game of "Hear Me Out" (the yuppie game), and then T finally got fed-up with us all and kicked us out at 3am. The theme of the whole night was fun without alcohol, as were we loud, rowdy, rambunctious, and wild without barbiturates! Yeah!
I went Home Sunday evening after 4:30 mass, hoping to stop and pick up a new suit for Wednesday from Burlington Coat Factory (as my old suit is now about a size or three too small), but they'd closed before I made it down. So I just went home for dinner (real-type pork bar-b-q, which I love), and ended up staying the night. The Girls got me to watch a movie with them, which turned out to be a Family Event -- well, minus Jenny, Gene, and Josh, who weren't there. We're nearly at half-strength these days.
This morning mom and I went out and got me a nice black suit -- which I think I like more than the dark-blue I've had. It's a subtle difference. I plan on wearing my blue shirt with it, and one of these ties... I think I have a silvered one or something... Anyways, got back here in time to run to work. In the rain. Wearing shorts. When I got out, it was still raining, so when I got back to my room I pulled of some corduroy pants and a sweater -- which is good, because the best thing about being cold and wet is getting warm and dry again.
And now I think I'm gonna curl up with a good book and maybe some tea. Mmmmm, tae.
