Oh, right, gaming-type stuff.

I started a game in Icewind Dale, a DnD video game aong similar lines of Baldur's Gate. You start by creating a group of six, mine being Alisandra (ChaoticGood Human Invoker), Miriam (NeutralGood Human Fighter), Jezibelle (NeutralGood Half-Elf Cleric), Sylvie (ChaoticGood Human Thief), Cassandra (LawfulEvil Human Mage) and Elayne (LawfulGood Human Paladin). It's going alright so far, with an average level of 4, though the Monsters seem to have a way of, well, making them die a lot, so I do a lot of pre-emptive Saving, before things like fighting, sleeping, opening a door, or walking down a corridor... I've named my group of six ladies The Furies, cause I'm a MythGeek.
I also have prospects for playing to two honest-to-God actual Pencil-and-Paper RPGs here in the area, run by a guy I met in an LJ-community. The first is a Werewolf game, which could be pretty cool as he wants it to center on the metaphysics behind the Wyld, Weaver, and Wyrm.
The second is a Changeling game, centering on a group of 3rd or 4th graders and their adventures on the playground. Or something. I'm actually looking forward to playing this one more, I think; I'm already talking with one of the other players, and we plan on having her play Fae noble to whom my Changeling has pledged himself, with an oath reminiscent of Bruderschaft's chorus to Forever. OK, it *is* the chorus to Forever, but still...
And aside from my own aspirations to run a WoD2 game next fall, I guess that's about it...

Date: 2004-04-13 09:29 am (UTC)In Changeling, you play a character who is part faerie (Sidhe, Troll, Pooka, Sluagh, and others), and because of this, they are sensitive to the world of dreams, and dreams and nightmares are real to them. Or something. The game itself is very much based around fairy-tale type stories (which may be obvious).
I think I had more to say, but I've lost my train of thought...
