"Hey, you clean up pretty nicely."
-My mom, commenting on how I looked for Easter Vigil
"Hey, you clean up good."
-My dad, commenting on how I looked for Easter Day
"Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other."
-Quote of the day, care of Alyce
So, this little break was pretty good. Got home and helped get the house ready to be sold. Our new one, which is being built about 15min away, should be finished mid-to-late May. I cleaned windows and straighted up for a good part of the break.
I took Unicron home with me, as it's only an hour drive south, hoping to get some writing done. Aside from some minor revisions in chapters Zero and One, it didn't happen. I did manage to finish reading the second HP book, though, which wasn't so bad as the movie was... I may have to go watch that movie again, though, as there's a number of things I don't remember being in it, though Zack tells me that Ms. Rowling maintains creative control over the movies.
As was noted above, my parents both thought I 'cleaned up well,' which may be one of the benefits of trying to pull off 'scruffy-looking' all the time. I do need a haircut, though; my hair's getting longer than I like it, again.
Went to Confession on Saturday afternoon, which was good. And stuff.
Contra dancing has moved from Sundays back to Thursdays with the end of Lent, which means I'll be heading out there in a couple day's time. Which is good. I rather wish there was a convenient way for me to talk with Suzannah, particularly about the nature of our relationship, without sounding like an foolish oaf. Or something.
I had more to say, I think...

Date: 2004-04-13 08:45 am (UTC)I'm mostly interested in [a] the difference between her Courting and Engagement (as you might have noticed, mom and dad seem to be pressing that point) and [b] if I might Court her. Or something.
See? Oafishness.
