Things which happened to me today

jackofallgeeksI fell alseep for 3hrs without meaning to (I'd intened t'get up in 15min after John left for class).
Katie Lapp waved to me (yes, I'm still that pathetic).
Claire called me...something really nice. ^^
Today started like most any day - I got up at 9:05, instantly realizing that my alarm had not gone off and that in 5min I would be marked absent from my English class once more. Now, much of a slacker as I am and proud to be, I slack on my own terms, not the whims of an agitated alarm clock. With speed that only a college student in condition could muster I was out of bed, dressed, glasses on, and out the door is about 120sec (that's 2min, people). Sadly, it takes me 5min to walk up to Marist itself, so I was late and the door was closed (and yes, locked. Teacher's a pain). However, class went nicely - we wrote short essays explaining what Vantentine's day IS (all with an underlying current of cynicism) and afterwards as always, if you were late you could go explain yourself and it'd all be good.
Talked with my friend/aquaintance Jon S. on the way down the hill to Physics, and spoke for the first time to another Aquaintence, Elizabeth B., who it turns out had a test after Physics and really didn't want to sit through the class. Isn't it so for us all. Today though, I actually learned something in class, solely because for a part of it he WROTE on the board instead of reading transparencies on the overhead. I think I could follow his thinking alot better then.
Went back to my room with every intention of a half-hour nap, but that fell through when I had to call the bank about an error with my deposit - it was $265, not $255. Dam grade-school arithmetic. I like errors like that, though.
Met Jack for lunch as per usual, and sat with Lauren and Katie C. et al. Calc was OK, and Proff. Levin showed quite a bit of humor today, that's good. I like these hyperbolic functions (sinh, cosh, tanh) alot better than those dam trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan). Nother test comming up soon. Hopefully I do well, yes?
Then, back to my rwhere I finally got a oad of laun-- Shoot, I gotta get that outta the dryer, one sec.
So, I got back at and got my laundry in the wash, did some paperwork or some such, changed the load to the dryer, then crawled into bed at about 3:00, 3:30. John was getting his winks before a class at 4:00 - laying on his bed and setting the alarm to go off every 10 or 15 min so that he wouldn't get too deep. Laying in my bed, I planned on getting up and finishing some stuff after he left for class, but I so dreaded hearing his alarm over and over....
I never heard it once.
At about 6:00 I woke up to the telephone ringing. Thankfully I'd asked Katie C. earlier to call me for dinner. I didn't get the phone till after they hung up, but at least I was awake. After taming my mane and grabing my jacket, I staggered to the dining hall got my food, and found Katie and her friends.
Leaving the dining hall, one passes through rather a glass hallway. On the other side of that hallway I saw Katie L. sitting by herself eating, and she kinda smiled and waved to me. ^^* i'd still like to be friends with the girl, and she still is really pretty. I felt bad that she was eating alone, but once in the hallway, there's no going back. She prolly had someone there with her, I'm sure, but... ^^* Ah well, another place another time.
When I got back here I had a message, from Claire. She, like I said, called me something really nice. *Warm fuzziness* It was good to see when I got back, to say the least.
I fear I'll miss seeing her tonight, as, being the good little Catholic boy I am, I have a mass to go to at 9:00. I haven't been very good at that recently - getting to mass. It irks me. That's not like me. I don't like not being me.
But with that said, there's my day. Mayhaps there will be more to post later tonight - or I may just pass out again. ^_-
