Half-Time Highlights

jackofallgeeksYesterday morning, on a whim, I decided to clean up the mess around my desk. You know, go through those papers and throw the trash away, pick up my boks and clothes and stuff - I even did LAUNDRY yesterday (even if I DID forget about it until this morning....). Be amazed. It's actually ironic because John's parents came by yesterday, and the last time they had visited, I deigned it appropriot to straighten some - for John's sake, I suppose. This was not the case, however - I just felt up for cleaning. Weird.
Anyways, I was chatting idly with his mom and she asked me how I've been, and when I said busy she made a comment on how I didn't even have time to get my clothes picked up - refering to the pair of jeans and sweatshirt still sitting by my chair. Now, she's a nice lady and means well, but dam nit, it's my room, I'll leave it as I please. And frankly, I can find my clothes easier when they're laying on and around my chair. ^_^;;
When me and Becky went out to Blockbuster yesterday, she was in the mood for a chickflick, I was more in for a comedy, and rather wanted a Kevin Smith movie. That's how we came to choosing Chasing Amy. I think we'll watch it tonight, after I get back from gramma's.
Later that night, after, uhm, a few drinks, I was reaching over Becky to give Katie a cookie, and the next thing I knew, everyone (including me) was laughing and I was in Becky's lap. I suppose I was a little dizzy about then, and I'll admit I wasn't my calmest, but I laugh like that sober, too - ask Leslie.
I got up this morning at about 9:00, or 9:30, and while I did have the slightest of headaches, it was gone before about 10:45. I went to 11:00 mass, and plan on getting over to Gramma's after I grab some $$$ for gas. Of course, I'm not sure if the Super Bowl Party (assuming there is one) is at Gramma's or Uncle Tony's. To MapQuest! ^____^
**On a random side note, this song is by Meredith Brooks. My cousin Meredith often goes by "Mere" (pronouced 'Mare'). So, this artist could be called "Mere Brooks." Hee hee, to get this joke, though, you would have to understand my sense of humor. Hee hee.**
