Heh, I suppose you have a point, Louis, but it's the precedent. If this gets shot down before it ever becomes law, it will discourage, at least, any other similar laws. The point isn't really wether it could work (I doubt any real kind of 'control' could be forced onto computers), but rather what it would mean if it became law.
