Well, I had to go into DC today. We'd misplaced my financial aid notice, and so I had to go up to school to sort stuff out. And, actually, it was kinda good to be back there. I haven't been to DC all summer. In the right lighting, it can actually be a pretty nice looking city. Unfortunately, coming from where I am (south) and going where I was (north), I enter and leave through one of the... less attractive parts of DC. I could go on a little mini-rant about how DC could be and should be a beautiful city, but i'll refrain myself for the moment.
It's going to be good to get back to school, I think.
I'd still rather live in the Country/far suburbs, mind you.
Another little stumble today -- made the mistake of opening OutLook Express here at work, and didn't realize I'd set it up to access my school account. I never use OutLook Express, and never to acess my school account. So all the messages I'd been saving in my inbox for transfer to my new computer got drained off of the server and onto my work machine. Quite an inconvenience. Now i'm going to need to fight with Outlook to get my messages back... Blarg.
But, one week before my Vaction to Ohio. w00+
There's something I need to do, but what....
Oh, and it seems Verizon no longer sells the Phone I have, and so I can't get a new battery or a new holster. My holster is securely broken, and i'm lucky if my battery will support a 20 minute call. Whee.

Date: 2003-08-06 08:50 am (UTC)See, I was GOING to get them into Outlook, and I was just saving them on the Server until I could get Outlook loaded on my new machine. Then I misplaced my CD, and now Outlook Express ate all my letters and I don't know how to get them back. -laughs- Once I find My CD, I think I have a plan...
Yeah, sounds like it... I may go out and get a new one in the next month or so.
