I am SO behind in my Journal. I'm just not depressed enough to really need to write anything these days... I was almost down enough to write a Snippet the other day, but I wasn't near a computer, and couldn't get my hands on any paper, so...
Oh, wait, Country's comming on, that might do the trick... I'll let you know...
so much to write on... The trip to Alyce's, the nature of love, my cousin's wedding, the Magic Tournament, my Room mates for next year...
Saw my cousins, Jim, Paul, and Larry this weekend at the wedding. of course; it was Jim's wedding. He's doing well, and Paul, Uberbrain that he is, is getting his Doctorate in another couple years. Larry's currently in his second year of college, studying a Double Major in Theatre and Music -- Musical Theatre isn't offered at his college, it seems. He's a really cool guy (even if he did grow his hair out -- he very much looks Artsy), and it's a real shame that I've rather lost touch with them. As kids, me and Larry were buddies, and I quite respect him (he's about 6months older than me). He's a cool guy...
And in a related note (no pun intended, I swear! *evil grin*) Only about Ten Days before I go up and see Rachel. ^_^ Yeah.
Anyways, the Country seems to have given way to Jazz... Alas. Perhapse it'll be really sobering jazz, ne? -laughs- I'm sure I'll write again.
And you know, I really like weddings. I donno, maybe I'm a sap, but the energy that was in that building on friday... the friends and the family and the love... Yeah, i'm a sap...

Date: 2003-08-02 07:51 pm (UTC)We listen to ourselves more often than we think. It seems to me that to tell oneself "I am not depressed enough to need to write" is setting oneself up to either write less or be depressed more.
But, what do I know?

Date: 2003-08-02 08:59 pm (UTC)I don't know that you'll be able to do your pretty Layouts in S2 directly, though. I'm not sure, though; I was asking questions about overrides in S2 and got sent to Advanced S2 (http://www.livejournal.com/customize/advanced/) and S2 Documentation (http://www.livejournal.com/doc/s2/). I haven't had time to look at them yet, but I'm sure I will when I get back to school.
-laughs- The big difference between you an I, though, is that sappy as I may be, I'm sure I'll have little say at all in what my wedding's going to be like. Maybe they'll play "Hosea", if I'm lucky.
Sometimes...
Date: 2003-08-03 11:46 am (UTC)I was going to ask you which family you were talking about, since we have a Paul and Jim Portner as well... but you answered my question. ::grumbles::
You're coming here soon! YAY! :-)
