Wigix: a new eBay Alternative

I'm just going to plug an eBay
Alternative that I just read about this morning that looks pretty
interesting. Wigix works a bit differently from eBay, more of a consignment
store than an auction house, but it's a whole lot more collaborative and
organized than eBay, and apparently offers ways to make money aside from
just selling thing (specifically, making collaborative contributions). I'm
not sure it would work well for, say, My
Sister's Business necessarily, but who knows. It's only in Beta right
now, which means they're still working out bugs and building a user base,
but I think I might check the place out when I get home. If nothing else,
the 'social shopping' aspect of being able to discuss products in blog- and
forum-styled threads is intriguing to me personally.

A breath of fresh air.

I'm pretty sure most of you don't actually GO to my journal to read my posts (I read all yours on my Friends' page, and I assume you all do likewise), but I've changed the theme after 2+ years of being dark. I like the change to something a bit more light-hearted, though I'm not wed to the specific theme yet.
