Touch and Go
Dec. 10th, 2007 06:52 pmAnother fluff-type update, wherein I tell you that I have a real update to get to, once I get to it.
I close on my house on Friday. I'm moving in this weekend. Verizon is setting me up with digital cable, FiOS internet, and a landline phone number on Saturday morning. With a DVR, I might actually start watching TV again (my biggest complaint about TV being I hate scheduling my life around it). I plan on having a house-warming thingum at some time, but with Christmas and New Years' coming up, now is a rather inconvenient time. I'm told I should register at a store or two for people who would care to get me things, but beyond Bed Bath and Beyond I'm at a loss for ideas. I will need appropriate decorations for my house (geeky, but no so geeky as to ward off regular people).
All things considered, I'm doing well. I'm happy enough. I see my family regularly, and my friends are in the area. Need to get things settled so I can try seeing more of them. Still, I think I'd be happier if I had a Someone. Same old, same old. It would just give me more motivation, y'know, a reason to get up and go to work in the morning, and something more than City of Heroes and YouTube to come home to at night.
Also, I have a week and a half's worth of news articles that I've mailed to myself for comment. I mean to get those thoughts up here at some point, too.
