Passing the Buck
Dec. 15th, 2005 07:54 amOr 'book.'
So here's the deal. The first qualified person to respond to this meme will get a book from me for Because.
To qualify you must be:
1. Someone I have not met in person, face-to-face.
2. Someone who is willing to give me your mailing address, for obvious reasons. If you're the 'winner,' I'll email you through your profile asking for the address, don't post it here.
3. Someone who agrees to "pay it forward" - if you want me to send you a book, you've got to make this same offer to someone else.
4. Someone who is willing to post at least a quick note on their impressions of the book once they get around to reading it (a note on why you couldn't get into the book counts).
I'll look at your interests list and use my knowledge of your posts to get some idea of what kind of book you'd like. I can't promise anything, but I'll do my best. I may send you a used book. I may send you a book you already have, but I'll do my best to pick a book that it's not overwhelmingly likely that you have. I'll have the book winging your way as soon as I can figure one out and the postal service will carry it to you.
And a caveat of, "I'm inept at shipping things, so allow extra time to compensate."
