Feb. 1st, 2004 12:46 pmYesterday was really cool.
First I got t'gether with Beth for coffee at about 2-sh... It was cool seeing her again after, what, a few years? But yeah, we went over to Dupont and got some coffee at Starbucks. I reluctantly admit that, yes, I think I liked it. The coffee. Beth and I sat outside chatting for a couple hours, mostly about reltionships and the like (she thought it was cold out, but I was fine). It was sweet.
After that, I went back tomy place where Chris, Curtis, Zach and Anastasiya were wating for me to ferry them all down to ComicsMD for a Type-2 MtG tournament. Tht was awsome! I know they guys down there pretty well from this summer, and they're great. Great owners, great group of players, it was just great. Curtis built me and Anastasiya our decks -- mine was Mono-black control, and here's was a white-green pseudo-aggressive deck. We allplayed wonderfully, and Asya beat Randy, which seemed to be a feat. I went up against an Elf-deck, which I wiped the floor with, and I almost beat Curtis in the finals -- I would have, too, if not for that CoP:Black. But it was all grand. Then we went out to IHOP for an after-game dinner-thing at about 12:00 or 1:00, and then all went home.
Comming in, the snow all had a sheen of ice on it, a thin layer that made it look like plastic.
It was really cool.
