Well, I've taken to editing my Journal Style. Nothing like the amazing things I've seen Leslie and Beth do, but... Well, I'll get there. In time. The 'new' look isn't all that revolutionary, but it feels fresher. I'm probably going to keep tweaking the colors (the blue text, while attractive, I think needs a bit of touching-up, to make it a bit more legible) and such until I get it right, and as soon as I figure how to get the Overrides on this new style (it's more than a matter of not knowing how to do it), I'll have a bit of CSS-type fun with it, me thinks.

I'm also considering a new Iconset, too. Thought I may keep a few of the old VashCons, and almost assuredly Chivalrous and Shocked are going to stay (w00+ and stuff to Leslie and Alyce!), but maybe get a few new pics up there... Though, don't expect to see any pics of me anytime soon. I'm quite camera shy. -nods to this-
(I really am a fan of "Drinkie Drinkie," "Dark," and "Goofy," though... Hmm, maybe change up the other five...?)

I had something more to say. Life is good. A few sour grapes, I fear, but those things happen. One really just needs to sit back, relax, and recognize that he really does know a lot of lovely ladies.

On a Geekier Note, The Boys and I found a Comic Shop last weekend, and though they have a limited selection of cards, they are trying to get Friday Night Magic (as in Magic: The Gathering, for the uninitiated) started up. Tonight, me and The Boys (we could be the Italian Mafia -- or better yet, the Irish Mafia) are going over there. It's going to be Type 1, meaning everything back as far as the Olden Days of Magic is legal. O.o I don't know what to expect, especially if we're playing Real Veterans. I tried building a new deck (titled PseudoFae, to go along with Olde Skool Fae and NeoFae, but I'm afraid it didn't do so well (though, that Treetop Scout is the new Scryb Sprites!), and so I may just take The Conclave (a Cleric deck) or Olde Skool Fae (I fear the girl is showing her age, though) and hope for the best.

And, TechType, I've been reading up on CSS, and I'm not making an effort to get away from tags like <i> and <b> in favor of <em> and <strong>. S'a hard habit to break, mixing style and content; and, sometimes, I think CSS limits one in ways that Olde HTML didn't, though I'll admit it is much, much easier to read, understand, and (most importantly) edit.

Update: Blarg and such to this new Layout Editor. It is only in Beta, though... I blarg anyhow. I'll mess with my journal later on, but until then it may look funky. Y'know, incase anyone ever looks at it. -laughs-

So, this guy over on Felicia's Journal (I'm assuming from context that it's her brother) said a few things that I think bear noting; so, I thought I'd put them up here on my journal for easy reference.

Instead of relying on people to know what you think, it needs to be said - that's one of the most challenging things I've learned about communication because mom and dad aren't exactly the best teachers. No two people share the exact same perspective on events in life, so you can't expect people to just know how you feel or automatically interpret what has happened the same way you have.

Sometimes I feel that some people get so wrapped up in the communities online that they miss out on really "living." It's hard for me to believe that someone would rather chat online for hours than to go to the beach and converse with friends - notice the subtleties of tone, the facial expressions (raised eyebrows, cocked smile, squinting eyes - the eyes oh how they are important!), hear the laughter and munch on each other's ice cream cones :P
