The Spiriting Away of Sen and Chohiro.
Jan. 5th, 2003 12:57 amLet's see if I can make this real quick.
Family went out to the Movies t'night. We saw Harry Potter: The Chamber of Secrets, and Spirited Away. Harry Potter was really kinda good -- parts of it seemed to seem out of place, and I didn't like the House Elf (he really bothered me) but I quite enjoyed the movie. I'd heard about Thom Riddle before, and there'd be talk about Haggard, but I didn't KNOW anything. It was really cool. I almost hesitate to say it, but I think I'm quite interested in reading that series, now. I listened to 1/2 the first book on tape with Claire, and I own 1, 3, and 4 back at School.
Spirited Away was cool, too. I liked it the first time when I saw it at Nekocon, and I wanted to have my little sisters, Beth and Becky, see it cause I knew they'd like it. I noticed a few more things in the movie - little bitd of dialog that gave hints as to what would happen later in the movie. Nothing real big, mind you, just stuff you notice the second time around. I still like it for the way it seems, to me at least, to toy with the idea that things are not as they appear.
And yes, Beth and Becky (along with most everyone else in my family) liked the movie.
Now I sleep, as I am tired, and that is the thing to do. In the next week I have to pack up all my stuff and get my new glasses. Whee.
